So after Monday's 'bostin' session (Will's words, not mine), the next step for this 'Cinematic Harmonica' production music album is to shape the ideas we came up with and for me to record around Will's amazing melodies and rhythms. It's a time-consuming process, but so far it's sounding fantastic and we already have some library and label interest.
As soon as we are able I'll let you in on a couple of samples. Have a fine Thursday!
Next on the new 'Sleuth' production music playlist is 'Working The Case', percussive, dark and mysterious.
So here's a playlist I put together a little while ago, most of which are now residing in music libraries. Have a great weekend everyone!
And so begins a brand new playlist, 'Sleuth', and so far it seems it's going to be a lot of fun. Here's the first, 'Gumshoe P.I.'.
'Gumshoe man' was originally slang for 'thief', but by about 1908 the term 'gumshoe' was used to refer to a police detective, and the term has stuck ever since (pun intended).
Well it seems that in Brazil, 'Everybody Loves A Moose' is called 'My Dear Moose' and was on for the little people of Brazil in August. Fingers crossed for other territories.
The Band of One album is coming along slowly but nicely. Being one person it's a bit like doing a jigsaw: I'll record some parts, export to an album playlist (so I'm constantly thinking about song order), then listening back and making notes about mistakes, mix, reverbs/EQs/other effects, arrangements, the works. Then it's back into each song to rectify and add to.
It'll be released when it's ready - at least that's one luxury I have! There are a few more songs to write but there's a good feel to the songs I've included so far, and I'm looking forward to letting it out into the world. I'm also excited about the album art work but that's for another day.
